They followed the nurse through corridors and soon reached a corridor marked as VIP. The receptionist left, and they saw a man standing in a doctor's uniform who introduced himself as Dr. Rakshit Sharma.

"Good evening, Mr. Oberoi, Ms. Singhania," Rakshit said in a firm and confident tone.

Ahaan's eyes narrowed, his gaze intense as he asked, "How are they, Dr. Rakshit? What's their condition?"

Rakshit's expression turned professional as he said, "Fortunately, Ms. Nitya and Ms. Ruhi are not seriously injured. Nitya ma'am has some scratches and cuts, while Ruhi ma'am has some sprains and minor cuts. They are treated and will be better with some medicines and treatment. You can meet them after half an hour as they are induced right now."

They all let out a sigh of relief after knowing that Ruhi and Nitya were not seriously injured and only had a few minor injuries. However, the relief was soon wiped off their faces when they heard Rakshit's next words.

"However, I can't say the same about Ms. Samaira," Dr. Rakshit said.

"What do you mean? How is she? What happened to her?" Amyra asked in a concerned voice.

"Ms. Samaira has suffered a serious head injury, and her right hand is also fractured. We're running some tests to ensure there's no internal damage. But if she doesn't wake up within 24 hours, she can go into a coma," Rakshit said, maintaining his professional tone.

Vihaan's eyes widened in worry as he asked, "But she will be okay, right?"

Dr. Rakshit's expression turned grim as he said, "We're doing everything we can to ensure her recovery, Mr. Oberoi. But we can't say anything yet, though I must inform you that I have some suspicions about the accident."

Ahaan's eyes narrowed in anger, his voice low and dark, "What kind of suspicions?"

Dr. Rakshit hesitated as he looked at everyone before speaking. "From what I've seen, considering the injuries and all, the accident seems... planned. The impact of the accident was too precise, too calculated, like someone just wanted to harm Ms. Samaira. I think someone has intentionally caused the accident."

"And how can you be so sure of this? You are a doctor only, or...?" Amyra looked at him with suspicion and then at Ahaan, who looked here and there awkwardly.

"I am a mafia doctor, ma'am. I work for Mr. Ahaan. He instructed me an hour before to arrive here and take the role of Ms. Samaira, Ms. Ruhi, and Ms. Nitya's personal doctor, as we are not sure if any outsider can be trusted," Dr. Rakshit spoke in a professional voice but also bowed in front of Amyra, knowing she was the actual ruler.

Amyra said to everyone, "We would first like to meet with Nitya and Ruhi; we'll discuss the accident later," to which everyone nodded.

Dr. Rakshit said, "Okay ma'am, I will first take you all to their rooms."

Amyra stopped Rakshit and said to all of them, "Ahaan, you go and first meet Nitya and check up on her. Vihaan, Reyansh, and Agastya, you guys also go and meet first. I will first go and see Ruhi."

Ahaan hesitated for a minute but then looked at Amyra's determined expression and followed Dr. Rakshit and the others to Nitya's room.

Amyra turned around and walked towards Ruhi's room. She pushed the door to the room and walked in to see Ruhi lying on the bed. In patient clothes, her face was pale, and she was attached to fluids and drips.

Ruhi's eyes were slowly opening as the effect of the medicines was finally wearing out.

After a few minutes, Ruhi opened her eyes, and for some seconds, she couldn't decipher where she was. But after looking here and there for some time, her eyes drifted to Amyra, and a weak smile spread on her lips. She saw tears running down Amyra's eyes.

"Don't cry, idiot; nothing happened. I am still alive," Ruhi said in a voice, making Amyra chuckle sadly.

"I am glad you are safe. How are you feeling?" Amyra asked, concerned, caressing her head softly.

Suddenly, Ruhi's eyes turned wide as she remembered Samaira and asked worriedly, trying to get up, "Where is Samaira? She was the most impacted. Is she okay? Why is she not here?"

Amyra held her firmly, laying her back, and said almost crying, "She is still not conscious. She has suffered a head injury and a fracture in her right hand. The injury is serious; the doctors can't say anything yet. If she doesn't wake up within 24 hours, she can go into a coma."

Hearing this, Ruhi was left shocked, and tears could be seen in her eyes as she said in an angered voice, "That accident was planned; they deliberately tried to hurt Samaira only. The car was already at a steady speed, and we were on an almost empty road. It was a mini truck that hit the car from Samaira's side, which directly impacted Samaira. Wait, where is Nitya? Is she okay?"

"Yeah, she is okay. I have not met her yet, but Ahaan and others are with her. She has some cuts and scratches. She is thankfully safe. I will go and meet her sometime," Amyra said with a weak smile.

Meanwhile

In Nitya's Room

The Oberoi brothers walked inside the room with Agastya and saw Nitya lying on the bed watching the ceiling. Once she saw her brothers and Agastya, a wide smile spread on her face as she tried to get up, but Vihaan stopped her.

Reyansh had tears in his eyes, and not being able to stop himself, he hugged his little sister tight, almost crushing her, as he said in a whiny voice, "You idiot, what if something happened to you? You always trouble me so much. How will I live without my little princess?"

Seeing him, even Vihaan was not able to stop himself and hugged Nitya from the other side, crying, "Yeah, you idiot, why are you so invested in always getting in danger?"

Ahaan and Agastya looked at Vihaan and Reyansh with a done face as they were almost crushing Nitya because of their emotions.

Ahaan held Vihaan and Reyansh and dragged them away from Nitya, then sat quietly beside his sister, stroked her head lovingly, and said, "How are you feeling, baccha? Is it hurting too much?"

"Ahaan Bhaiya, I am fine, and you know this is not the first time I got hurt. These are some minor scratches. And Reyansh Bhaiya, Vihaan Bhai, what are you both crying about? If you will not stop, I will also start crying," Nitya said dramatically, bringing a smile to her brothers' faces and Agastya's.

"I am relieved you are fine, baccha," said Ahaan, and the others did a group hug, except for Agastya.

Nitya pulled away from the hug and asked worriedly, "Where are Ruhi and Samaira ? Are they okay?"

The boys looked at each other as Agastya said in a soft voice, "Ruhi is not in a serious condition, and Amyra Bhabhi is with her right now. She has some deep cuts and scratches but nothing too serious. However, Samaira..."

"What happened to her? Is her condition serious? Whoever caused this accident wanted to hurt Samaira, but I don't think they knew that Ruhi and I were also in the car," Nitya muttered in a low voice, which shocked everyone in the room.

"What do you mean by they wanted to hurt Samaira only? And how do you know they planned to only hurt Samaira?" Vihaan asked, shocked. He knew Nitya was very observant, so he knew she was not confused.

Nitya spoke in a serious voice, "While it may seem that they hit on Samaira's side, it was not their actual plan. They wanted to hit the car from the front because that way, killing someone was easier. But at the last moment, Samaira turned the car around. And the reason I think they wanted to kill Samaira only is because Ruhi and I accompanied her at the last minute. Whoever planned this didn't know we were going to accompany her, which means if we were not in the car, she would have been crushed straight on, which could have killed her easily."

Hearing this, everyone knew things were getting serious.

After some time, Nitya said, "Let's go and meet Ruhi; I want to check up on her also."

"But baccha, you are injured," Ahaan said, denying her.

Nitya reassured her brothers, seeing them so worried for her, "I'm fine, Bhaiya. Really, I'm okay. Can we please go and see Ruhi di and also meet Amyra Bhabhi? She must be very worried right now."

Ahaan nodded, sighing, "Okay, baccha. But you shouldn't walk right now. You have a deep cut in your ankle also. We'll get a wheelchair for you."

Reyansh grinned mischievously, "Or, I can give you a piggyback ride! How about that, princess?"

Nitya nodded with a cute smile and said, "Yes, Rey Bhaiya. Now, bow down, my peasant!"

"As you wish, Princess," Reyansh said mischievously and bent down so that Nitya could climb on his back.

Nitya climbed on his back, wrapping her arms around his neck mischievously.

Vihaan clicked a photo of them and sent it to the family group so that everyone could be relieved.

Ahaan said, smiling, "It's like looking at little Reyansh and Nitya once again."

"Oh yeah, I remember when they were small, and Reyansh used to give piggyback rides to Vihaan and Nitya, and these two used to fight over whom he would carry first," Agastya said, teasing Nitya and Vihaan, who gave a weak smile. They knew Ahaan was just trying to help them feel better.

They all walked to the room where Ruhi was admitted. Thankfully, there was no other patient in the whole corridor, as Ahaan had made sure that only they could stay there. They still didn't know who was behind the accident, and it could be life-threatening. Also, for security purposes and because of the media, extra precautions were taken.

When they reached Ruhi's room, Reyansh suddenly stopped in front of the door, Nitya still clinging to his back like a koala.

Agastya asked, "What happened, Reyansh? Why did you suddenly stop?"

Reyansh looked at him and said, "Nothing." He moved one hand and knocked on the door of the room and heard Amyra's voice, "Come in."

Reyansh walked in with Nitya on his back, and the others followed him. Ruhi and Amyra looked at Nitya wide-eyed, and Amyra scolded them, "Why did you bring Nitya hereย  and that too like this? She should be resting right now."

"My lovely Bhabhi, I just wanted to meet and see Ruhi di and how she is doing, and it's not like I am very injured," Nitya said cutely, trying to pacify her bhabhi.

"Ruhi di, huh?!" Ruhi looked at Nitya with a smirk.

"Of course, Ruhi di," Nitya smirked back.

"I don't even want to know what these two might be planning. It's not good for my health anyway," Amyra said, shaking her head, looking between her friend and sister-in-law's antics.

"Rey Bhaiya, put me down," Nitya said as Reyansh bent down, but because of the injury on her ankle, she was not able to get down easily.

Before any of them could help her, Agastya came and picked her up by the waist, lifting her gently in the air and softly placing her on the bed.

"Stop laughing, Jhansi ki Rani; you're going to make the injury worse," Agastya said, looking at Nitya, who suddenly laughed because she felt ticklish as Agastya held her.

Finally, they all settled down, and the room turned silent.

Ahaan asked, "How are you feeling, baccha?"

"I am fine, Jiju; the injuries are not that serious. It's just..." Ruhi tried to hide her tears, but they finally slipped out.

"I'm scared about what will happen when Samaira's family finds out about the accident. She came here with me, and it was my responsibility to make sure she was safe. Her condition is also critical. I don't know what to do," Amyra said, crying, while Ahaan tried to calm her down.

"Nothing will happen to Samaira; she is very strong. I am sure she will wake up soon, Bhabhi," Vihaan said, trying to calm his anger.

As the night wore on, they all stayed in Ruhi's room. Nitya was lying on a bed beside her, resting.

"Jiju, can you arrange a bigger room? Nitya and I can also shift into that room, and it will be more comfortable for you all," Ruhi said, looking at the conditions everyone was in.

Amyra was sitting on a stool near her. Agastya, Ahaan, and Vihaan were perched on the couches, which were comfortable but not big enough. Reyansh was also sitting beside Nitya, patting her head slowly as she drifted to sleep. The doctor had given her medicine, which made her sleepy. Ruhi was also to be given that medicine, but she decided to go against it and asked to receive a high dose later, once Samaira woke up. No one wanted to do that, but they had no option.

Ahaan nodded and went outside to arrange the room, and within 10 minutes, some hospital staff came to help shift Ruhi and Nitya to the larger room. Soon, everyone was settled in. It had two big beds and three couches for the family members, also with sofas, a television, and a mini-fridge.

Around 9 in the night, the elders arrived to see Ruhi and Nitya. They sat with the two for hours. Vandana and Nalini tried their best to console Amyra. Rajeev and Vikram also asked the doctors what else could be done, but the answer was the same again and again: "She has to wake up by herself."

Nothing external was going to work. As time passed, the chances of Samaira waking up were decreasing. Ten hours had passed since Samaira was admitted, but there was no improvement in her condition.

Amyra and Ruhi were contemplating informing Samaira's family. They didn't know what they would say.

Of course, they would never blame Amyra, Ruhi, or any of them, but still. Time passed, and Amyra, Reyansh, and Vihaan arranged dinner for everyone, and they all ate.

Ruhi and Nitya were still unable to eat any normal food. Amyra tried to feed some porridge to Ruhi, which she didnโ€™t want, but because she had to take the medicine, somehow Vandana and Amyra convinced her to eat.

After everyone had dinner, they all sat and talked for some time to distract themselves, but soon Dr. Rakshit came. He informed everyone, "Twelve hours have passed since Ms. Samaira has been treated; there are only 50% chances of her waking up. I hope she will wake up, but just in case she doesn't, we need her guardian's consent to induce life support in a coma."

Hearing this, everyone became more worried and tense. Finally, seeing no other option, Ruhi and Amyra signed the consent paper as her guardians.

The elders stayed till 1 in the night, but then Amyra and Ahaan convinced them to go back and rest, assuring them that they could come in the morningโ€”especially Dadi and Dadaji. Amyra promised that if anything happened, she would inform them immediately.

Finally convinced, the elders left for the haveli. Amyra and Ahaan looked at everyone, and Amyra said to him, "We need to convince Ruhi to take the medicine. I don't know how long it will take Samaira to wake up. Also, everyone needs to rest now."

"Yeah, Nitya is already asleep. Iโ€™ll ask the doctor to give her an injection instead of pills. It will be easier," Ahaan said as he gently kissed Amyra's forehead.

After giving Ruhi an injection and making sure everyone slept, Amyra and Ahaan also settled down on the couches. Reyansh, Vihaan, and Agastya were sleeping on the two beds and the bigger couch. Amyra convinced the three to take some rest.

It was around 3 in the night. As time passed, Amyra grew more and more anxious. She was tired but had no will to sleep.

Ahaan sat beside her and laid her head in his lap, patting her head slowly, trying to make her sleep, even for some time. Unwillingly but tired, Amyra drifted off to sleep, while Ahaan also dozed off sitting.

Amyra's phone rang suddenly, startling her. She quickly got up and shut the alarm off. She sat for a few seconds quietly, taking in the surroundings, and the events from yesterday came like a wave in her mind.

She quickly opened her phone and checked the time; it was 7 a.m. She had only slept for four hours, but that was the least of her concerns right now. She realized that it had been 19 hours since Samaira had been unconscious.

She quickly got up and went outside the hospital room and saw that the floor was swamped with security. Ahaan must have ordered them to be extra careful about everyoneโ€™s safety after the attack.

She called one of the men and asked him about Dr. Rakshit.

The man said, still looking at the ground, "Maโ€™am, Dr. Rakshit is in his cabin. Do you want me to call him?"

"Yes, please call him fast," Amyra said with urgency in her voice.

The man quickly went to Rakshitโ€™s cabin as Amyra walked towards the room where Samaira was admitted. They were still not allowed to go inside.

Within a few minutes, Dr. Rakshit came running. Amyra looked at him and asked in a concerned voice, "Is there any improvement in Samaira's health?"

Dr. Rakshit hesitated for a moment but said honestly, "Iโ€™m sorry, but there has been no improvement in Ms. Samairaโ€™s condition in the past 19 hours."

Amyra didnโ€™t say anything and dismissed Dr. Rakshit, then went back inside. She looked at Ruhi sleeping and softly caressed her head. At least she was safe.

Suddenly, she heard a lot of commotion outside. The voices were so loud that even others started waking up.

Amyra rushed outside to see a lot of doctors and nurses running toward Samaira's room. She ran toward the room and saw that doctors were stabilizing and hyperventilating Samaira.
